Description:

The discovery of the unexpected natural beauties of Mauritius begins with the dormant volcano of Trou aux Cerfs, which offers a magnificent view over the island. A stop in the model ship factory reveals the great refinement and detail of the reproductions of historic sailing ships.

The view of the largest statue of a woman’s divinity in the world, the goddess Durga and the imposing statue of the God Shiva, both measuring 33m high will introduce you into the mystical atmosphere of Hinduism. The statues dominate the Grand Bassin sacred lake, surrounded by picturesque temples and other statues of Hindu deities, also inhabited by monkeys and giants eels.

After a stop on a panoramic terrace overlooking the forests of the Black River Gorges Park, among plantations of sugarcane, bananas, pineapple, coffee and other tropical fruits you will arrive in Chamarel where, enchanted by the highest waterfalls of the island and the charm of the seven colored earth, you will meet the giant tortoise. The final step of your adventure will be a terrace overlooking the sea from where you will admire a fantastic landscape of Benitiers Island and the famous mountain of Le Morne Brabant.

• Welcome drink: A fresh fruit cocktail

• Starter: Salade de crudités

• Main Course: The choice between a meat OR fish (Meat can be chicken, lamb or beef and fish is marlin)

• Accompaniment: Rice, grains, vegetable, achard, chutney and chilli paste

• Desert: The choice between: Banane flambée and vanilla ice cream OR an assortiment of 3 sorbets (passion fruit , guava , lemon or depending on the season litchi or mango)

• Drinks: ½ bottle of water per person is included in the package.

Lunch Menu Option 2 (Chalet Chamarel):

Menu A:

• Starter: Chef salad with smoke marlin OR Palm heart salad with citrus

• Main Course: Grandmother style fish and eggplant curry with coconut milk, steamed rice and homemade chutney OR Venison stew with vegetables served with steamed rice and salad

• Main Course VEG: Grilled vegetables mille-feuille with pesto and tomato coulis with salad

• Desert: Caramelised pineapple with vanilla ice cream

• Drinks: 1 bottle of water per person is included in the package.

Menu B:

• Starter: Mauritian fish salad with lime OR grilled vegetables salad with pesto and cheese

• Main Course: Octopus salmi, lentil with steamed rice and cucumber salad OR Dry venison curry with peanuts, corinth grapes, crouton and coriander served with steamed rice

• Main Course VEG: Pasta arrabiatta with vegetables ratatouille, pine nuts and parmesan cheese

• Desert: Golden roasted apple with spices served with vanilla ice cream

• Drinks: 1 bottle of water per person is included in the package.

Conditions

Price policy:

From 0 to 2 years old, the excursion is free of charge.

From 3 to 5 years old, child rate will apply.

From 6 years old and above, adult rate will apply.

Cancellation policy:

In the event that the excursion is cancelled by the local authorities or because of weather conditions, the excursion will be rescheduled on the following days or replaced by another tour.

If bad weather persists, you will be refunded the entire amount before your departure.

For cancellation 7 days before the excursion date, refund will be 100%.

For cancellation 72 hours before the excursion date, the cancellation penalty will be equal to 75% of the cost of the excursion.

For cancellation less than 72 hours, the cancellation penalty will be equal to 100% of the cost of the excursion.

For cancellation or no-show the day of excursion, the penalty will be equal to 100% of the cost of the excursion.

Rates quoted are in Euro currency.

Rates includes private transfer.

Full payment shall be done upon confirmation of booking. An invoice will be sent accordingly.

All banking charges shall be paid by the client.

In case payment is not received prior to excursion date (conditions apply), booking will be invalid.
