Discover the authentic side of Mauritius beginning with a nature reserve which is home to more than 1,000 turtles, 2000 crocodiles, macaques, deer, Gecko, aquariums, a fossil museum and an insectarium in which you can admire one of the most 'largest collections of butterflies in the world.
An adventure through the sugarcane fields will lead you to Rochester falls, a beautiful volcanic rock formation, which creates stunning, waterfalls. At the Southernmost point of Mauritius, on a sea cliff, known as the Weeping rock, surrounded by breathtaking scenery of rugged coast, you will be amazed by the sound of strong waves crashing on the cliff.
After a pleasant walk in the shade of Casuarina trees, you will reach Gris Gris beach, which despite of its white sandy beach, the waves and currents are extremely strong due to absence of coral reef. A typical Mauritian restaurant will await you for lunch.
Your journey will continue along the south coast between deserted beaches and beautiful landscapes until reaching for a refreshing bath in a paradisiacal beach at the foot of the imposing mountain of Le Morne Brabant declared Unesco heritage.
