The wild south east, by speedboat
Spend a day exploring the largest lagoon in Mauritius by speedboat, past wild islands set in turquoise water, with everything planned for you.
Your first stop is at the foot of Ile aux Aigrettes, a nature reserve and home of the pink pigeon, a rare and endangered bird. Take a refreshing swim, then snorkel in the Eau Bleue marine park. Sail past Ile de la Passe, where an ancient fortress tells the story of the Naval Battle of Grand Port, and step ashore on the lighthouse island with its old abandoned lighthouse.
Along the coast, the Grand River South East waterfalls appear amid tropical vegetation. Then comes the highlight: a delicious beach BBQ on the south coast of Ile aux Cerfs, followed by free time on its famous white sand and shallow lagoon.
